The Elephant (2020) references past photographic work, the series Not Man Enough also features a smaller pink tetrahedron. In this earlier series the pink triangle was used to signify a queerness and otherness, in relation to masculine symbols in Australian culture. With The Elephant the pink tetrahedron additionally represents an otherness within the artists own family and the inability to address ‘the elephant in the room’.
